Dr. Nancy Love, PhD, BCEE, is the JoAnn Silverstein Distinguished University Professor, and Borchardt and Glysson Collegiate Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Michigan. She works at the interface of water, infrastructure, environmental quality, and public health in both domestic and global settings. Her group is focused on understanding how engineering design and operation of water systems influence sustainability and equitable access to healthy water services, and on advancing methods to achieve a circular nutrient economy. Along with her students and collaborators, Dr. Love's work is centered on identifying and translating fundamental understanding into practical solutions for water utilities and communities. 
She has been recognized for her scholarship and leadership with the Water Environment Foundation, the International Water Association, the Water Research Foundation, and the Association of Environmental Engineering and Science Professors. She is a licensed Professional Engineer in Michigan. Dr. Love received her BS and MS at the University of Illinois, Urbana, and her PhD is from Clemson University.
