Gary M. Gin, RG, is LRE Water's Aquifer Storage and Recharge (ASR) Practice Leader, with 26 years of experience in water resources planning and economic studies for recharge systems. Gin was instrumental in the initial testing of glass beads as a filter pack media to optimize bidirectional flow that optimizes recharge and backwashing operations using advanced programming and automation technologies.

Gin leads the industry in well development, recharge cycle testing, and training utility staff to operate and maintain recharge systems. He is working on bridging the water/power nexus with advancing power generation during recharge. He serves as the Technical Program Manager for several municipal Indirect Potable Reuse (IPR) aquifer replenishment wellfields and is a Registered Professional Geologist in Arizona and Texas.
