The 2015 recipient of the Athalie Richardson Irvine Clarke Prize was John C. Crittenden,
Ph.D, P.E., N.A.E., C.A.E. Crittenden is Director of the Brook Byers Institute for Sustainable
Systems, Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering, and Hightower Chair and Georgia
Research Alliance Eminent Scholar in Environmental Technologies at Georgia Institute of Technology.
NWRI established the Clarke Prize in 1993 to honor outstanding individuals who
have implemented better water science research and technology. The Clarke
medallion and $50,000 award are presented annually.

Joseph Hughes of Drexel University introduced his friend and colleague,
John C. Crittenden, as the 2015 Clarke Prize honoree.
James Irvine Swinden presented John Crittenden with the Clarke Prize medallion
and $50,000 cash prize on behalf of the Joan Irvine Smith and Athalie R. Clarke
Foundation, which helped establish the Clarke Prize.
